ON-GRID OR HYBRID?

Which system is right for you?

Both run your home on solar during the day. The difference is what happens when KSEB power goes off.

Hybrid (with battery)

*Subsidy applies to the solar panels of grid-connected systems; the battery is not subsidised. Prices are indicative for Trivandrum and Kollam as of September 2026 and depend on roof type and site. The subsidy is paid by the Government of India directly to your bank account after KSEB commissioning — it is not paid by AGEMS. Generation figures are yearly averages; output is lower in the monsoon months.

SUBSIDY AND SAVINGS

Up to ₹78,000 back from the Government of India

Under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, the central government pays a fixed subsidy for grid-connected home systems. We register you on the national portal and handle the KSEB approvals.

  • A 3 kW system typically saves ₹32,000–₹36,000 a year
  • A 5 kW system saves ₹60,000–₹75,000 a year for a home using 550–600 units a month
  • Typical payback after subsidy: 3–4.5 years for on-grid systems
